Notch (Oriane Varak & Notch Company)

Centre stage: a lectern. Notch appears, her face hidden under a black stocking, like in a robbery. Oriane Varak lets us see a body in constant metamorphosis in the exercise of political discourse: a body-feline, an intimate and androgynous body-function clinging to its pulpit.

Notch is a being of anger and life, inhabited by both lies and fervour and trapped in a space of contradictions that is pierced by the electronic sounds produced live by Guillaume Le Boisselier.

Notch is both the lion and the lion-tamer. Notch is a stuttering body.

(TAZETTE)
