Tape for Toddlers (Tuning People)

After the success of EmptyheadTuning People together with fABULEUS take up its precursor Tape for Toddlers again: a jewel of a tape-wrapped performance. Tuning People stands for humor, disarming imagination, an original use of music and sound and a healthy portion unruly guts and swagger. If you want finicky toddler theater, do not turn to Tuning People.

Brio, swagger, imagination. It's all in Tape for Toddlers. Tuning People made its first children performance in 2011 at fABULEUS. Together with dramaturge Peter Anthonissen and coach Randi De Vlieghe, they created an hilarious universe with a colourful collection of tape. The title Tape for Toddlers covers the contents. Simplicity is key. The production is based on tape and is primarily intended for small children from 4 years onwards. But not exclusively. The aim is to also address adults. This way Tape for Toddlers becomes a performance about playing and imagination. For toddlers to watch with eyes wide open and for adults to allow once more the child within.

Good, ingenious and innovative theater for preschoolers. (…) Thanks to this loony collective that with a (childlike) fascination for music, sounds and materials arrives at disarming, associative (…) theater in which simplicity can once again stimulate fantasy. That is the message Tape voor Toddlers holds for preschoolers as wel as an adult audience” (Knack, on Tape for Toddlers)
